The Chesapeake Bay Area Exoplanet Meeting brings together all lovers of exoplanets and related science from the DC area and beyond. This series of one-day meetings enable the sharing of ideas in an informal setting with the focus being on building collaborations and expertise.
This inaugural workshop will be fairly informal, in keeping with the spirit of the Bay Area Exoplanet and the National Capitol Area Disk meetings, with plenty of time for discussion and building collaborations. For this first meeting, our vision is that one person from each institution will give a 20-30 minute overview talk to get us up to speed on what's happening in exoplanet science at their home institution. For future meetings, we will plan on soliciting contributed talks, with a special focus on talks from students, post-docs, and visitors. Since we plan on having these meetings several times a year, everyone that is interested will be able talk about their current research.
Each meeting will feature an invited speaker. Tom Greene from NASA Ames has kindly agreed to be our invited speaker. He is the principle organizer of the highly successful Bay Area Exoplanet Science Meetings.

For those driving in, there is a code that will work in the visitor parking pay stations: 883-84055. For those traveling via public transportation, the College Park Metro Station is 1.3 miles from Marie Mount Hall. Taxis/Uber/Lyft should be inexpensive to use from there. You can also take the 104 UM Shuttle from College Park Metro Station to the student union, which runs every 10 minutes.
